OK, now I understand...

What I was trying to do was to reuse existing vlc players in my 
application and to change the gpu-affinity when I started a new video. 
We are using a java-to-vlc bridge and it was recommended not to destroy 
and recreate players each time we needed one. However, if I cannot 
change the gpu-affinity as a media option, then I'll have to think of 
something else. Is there anyway to change the video output options on a 
libvlc instance once it has been created?
