[vlc-devel] Step forward/backward

The video player used at the BBC News site has a nice step forward/backward feature that might be suitable for VLC: instead of skipping a large fixed amount like 10 seconds, one can click the arrow keys for a 1 second skip, but it does not skip immediately, so one can repeat the arrow keys a suitable number of times, and when stopping, in a short moment, it will skip. Works also when paused.

To see it, choose a video, say [1]. After starting it, click the bar with the position indicator to set the keyboard to this context. Then use the left and right arrow keys on the keyboard.
