[vlc-devel] relicensing dshow* to LGPL

Hello all.  I was about to ask if I could re-use some code from
modules/access/dshow/* however then I discovered its license [GPL] was
different from the FFmpeg's dshow stuff's license [LGPL 2.1].

Questions:
Is it an option for this code to become LGPL?
If yes, what steps can I/should I take to help accomplish this?
