Hi everybody,

I just upgraded from CM10.3 to CM 11 on my Samsung i9100 and noticed
that VLC cannot read from /storage/sdcard1 (external SD card) , and had
no problems reading from /storage/sdcard0 ( internal )

VLC reads from the wrong mount point when she should use
/storage/sdcard1 instead of /mnt/media_rw/sdcard1 in my opinion, unless
CM11 has responsibility for providing apps with the external storage
directory path, because then I should be posting on XDA.

- /storage/sdcard0 is correct and generated a file listing:

D/VLC/AudioServiceContoller(13559): Service Connected
I/ActivityManager( 2253): Displayed org.videolan.vlc/.gui.MainActivity:
+1s134ms
I/ActivityManager( 2253): Timeline: Activity_windows_visible id:
ActivityRecord{4206ca38 u0 org.videolan.vlc/.gui.MainActivity t63}
time:15881258
I/ActivityManager(13559): Timeline: Activity_idle id:
android.os.BinderProxy at 41aba210 time:15881369
D/VLC/DirectoryAdapter(13559): Browsing to /storage/sdcard0 ( and file
listing was displayed )
D/VLC/DirectoryAdapter(13559): Browsing to null

- And now to /storage/sdcard1

D/VLC/DirectoryAdapter(13559): Browsing to /mnt/media_rw/sdcard1 ( This
D/VLC/DirectoryAdapter(13559): Browsing to null

looks wrong to me because /mnt/media_rw/sdcard1 because I think this
should be a link back to /storage/sdcard1 because this was where the
external device was mounted.

Unprivileded processes receive,

127|shell at GT-I9100:/ $ ls /mnt/media_rw/sdcard1
/mnt/media_rw/sdcard1: Permission denied

Have fun :)

Si.
