[vlc-devel] Problems cross compiling to windows according to Win32Compile

I decided to try and build the 3rd party tools rather than just fetch 
the binaries to see if that would help. However, when I get the MAKE I 
get the following errors:

checking for FREETYPE... no
configure: error: Package requirements (freetype2) were not met:

No package 'freetype2' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables FREETYPE_CFLAGS
and FREETYPE_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

Not sure what is going wrong here or what I am missing. Any help would 
be appreciated. David
