This is a revert of my simplification commit yesterday in hiding. AS a
developer, I think this is mocking the code of conduct. As the maintainer
of the VDPAU code, I find this absolutely unacceptable.

I must request explanation from the board as to whether this is OK, and
also why Rafaël still has git access inspite of his earlier recent revert
warring.
