[vlc-devel] Runtime warning - Cannot add callback to non-existent variable item-current

Folks,

I build VLC locally for a custom plugin that I have created.

Recently, I moved my build from 2.0.4 to 2.1.2. My build seems to work as before. Even VLC works as expected. However, now I see a runtime warning "cannot add callback *hex-pointer* to non-existent variable item-current." It appears this warning is coming from misc/variables.c.

I am wondering if anyone knows why I might be getting this warning.
