[vlc-devel] [PATCH]: HEVC/H.265 decoder using libde265

Hi,

please find attached a patch that adds a new video codec that decodes
HEVC/H.265 streams using the opensource library "libde265" [1] from
struktur AG.

The patch is based on 33a939a7 in master branch. I already incorporated
some feedback as received from "j-b" in #videolan, so now sending here
for further review.

Please let me know what you think about it and whether further changes
are required to get it merged into VLC.

You can get libde265 from GitHub [1] and packaged for Ubuntu from
Launchpad [2]. Packaging for Debian is ready and currently pending in
the NEW queue [3].
