No, but that's a good idea. An UI element or maybe an OSD at startup
would be nice.

Currently the vout can request any stereo format, depending on what it
supports. To solve the issue of forcing the stereo mode from the UI, I
might need to add a list of stereo 3D capabilities for the vouts (like
there is currently a list of supported chroma formats for
subpictures).
