       getaddrinfo(3) returns 0 if it succeeds, or one of the following non-zero error codes:

It is the same on Windows boxes fortunatly.

"Officially" one would want to loop through the addresses provided
by getaddrinfo() to select the best one from them. It can also return
both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. Maybe the parser should be recoded to
not pick the network access module just by trying, but by using
what getaddrinfo() returns? This works ofcourse ;)
