[vlc-devel] VideoLAN for openSUSE repo dependency problems

Hi everyone, I hope this is the right list for packaging issues. I would
like to use the VideoLAN builds of VLC for openSUSE 13.2 from here:
http://download.videolan.org/pub/vlc/SuSE/13.2/

However, I'm running into a problem. I can initially install VLC 2.2.0
from the VideoLAN repo. However, when I later try to update the system,
it wants to upgrade libvlc5 and libvlccore8 to a 3.0.0 version. But this
fails with two errors:
"vlc-noX-2.2.0-146.1.x86_64 requires libvlc5 = 2.2.0-146.1, but this
requirement cannot be provided"
and
"vlc-noX-2.2.0-146.1.x86_64 requires libvlccore8 = 2.2.0-146.1, but this
requirement cannot be provided"

The problem appears to be that there are two versions of libvlc5 and
libvlccore8 in the same repo-- a 2.2.0 version and a 3.0.0 dev version.
This seems to be a mistake. Would it be possible to rename the 3.0.0 dev
versions of libvlc5 and libvlccore8 with a -dev extension so the package
manager doesn't try to update to the highest version?

Thanks a lot!
