There has not been a generic solution for filters with the media player API to 
date. There is a bounty for this, which I have not even tried to address as I 
feel very insecure about the effort involved.

I definitely cannot sketch a solution over email. There are very explicit 
documentation warnings against using libvlc_new() parameters. You should not 
have ignored them.
