[vlc-devel] marq filter

Hi, I'm running VLC 2.2.1 built from source on fedora core.  I've read 
the docs and cannot figure out why I cannot get the marq filter to 
work.  the following not overlay text onto the streamed video?

cvlc screen:// --screen-fps=30 --live-caching=100 
--sub-source="marq{marquee=test,x=0,y=0}" --sout
