	Hello,

Newer revision of FFmpeg have dropped support for hardware video decoding 
acceleration as is necessary for the VLC avcodec plug-in to work. As a 
consequence and until further notice, you MUST use libav to provide libavcodec 
and related libraries, not FFmpeg.

Alternatively, you would have to stick to version 2.8.x (or older) of FFmpeg, 
or disable hardware acceleration support in VLC completely.
