Up/Down/Left/Right are already in used for DVD/Blu-Ray navigation.
Ctrl+Up/Down used for volume
Shift/Alt/Ctrl/Ctrl+Alt+Left/Right used for various seeking options.

Alt+Shift+ was free and allow one combination for all 4.
