I agree, all software that I used so far refers to this as passthrough. Some receivers do display “Direct” for it but I think this is unclear and more confusing. If the user does not understand passthrough, I doubt they will understand “Direct” either?

And afaik in the past it was already referred to as pass-through in the interface (at least on macOS) so we should be consistent here.
