Thanks! I'll be bit later back with patches to augment this work in 
hopes someone else with random hardware will try it out in the mean time 
:) First I'll fix those issues Steve pointed out and probably after my 
vacation I'll be looking into how to use HW scalers with VLC as well as 
what other features from DRM can be taken into use.
