Hello,

If it can be decoded to something, then it should be something more specific that data. Data ES should be reserved for ES that cannot be decoded (or are not supported yet). Likewise, if an ES selection policy can be defined internally, then it is intrinsically not just plain generic data.

IMO, data should be reserved for passing as is to stream output and otherwise discarding.

So maybe VANC cannot be SPU but if it is decoded and/or it can be related to another ES then it cannot be DATA either.
