No we don't. We are not adding yet more confusion and yet more bugs.

People are not getting any less confused by adding yet another option. Pass-through needs to be disabled by default where it is configured inside VLC - like before (e.g. ALSA) - and follow OS settings where the OS has those - also like before (e.g. PulseAudio). VLC on Windows broke this rule by assuming that Windows had a setting when it did not.
