I agree that the backend needs to be reworked. Though Medialibrary is 
supposed to be an optional component.

At the moment, the name isn't stored. 3.0 displays the URI, it's elided 
on the left so the name of the file is readable. Default implementation 
of the menu items doesn't allows to choose how text is elided, we 
probably need to allow this behavior to be customized first.
