No, that's not what happened. So, sorry, that's not what I had
understood.

And as I said, I don't see the issue since it's not concurrent work on
the same code, but a whole rewrite; nobody followed up after I said
that, so I thought things were cleared up; sorry.

And even back to the point, so what, is there a lock on the web
interface? Are there other reserved directories that I'm disallowed from
touching, even if it makes sense and is done with open cooperation,
because somebody else is working on them? Do you have an ETA for when
the rewrite will be merged, and the lock lifted?

Meanwhile, instead of relying on some indeterminate future that you
might or might no be more privy to than I am, the issue is fixed now.
