The description for this patch claims the contrary. If *you* can't even make a 
proper commitable patch, then there is a problem.

There are no reasons to warn everybody about that. There never was such a 
warning originally, and I don't recall this ever being discussed.

If you don't distribute your binaries, you don't care where the sources come 
from, so long as they are integrity-checked. And if you do distribute them, 
but you are not a VideoLAN admin, you care if they are not on your site, not 
on VideoLAN's site.

That does not leave a whole lot of people needing those warnings.
