[vlc-devel] [PATCH 1/4] vlm: remove schedule media type

Hi,

There has to be something that starts VLC with the right flags to the VLM conf or that sends the VLM command over IPC to a running VLC instance. Could be a command line in an LNK file and a static VLM conf file. Could be a Batch script started by Windows scheduled tasks. Could be an initscript or systemd unit or a crontab entry. Some people even use Python to manage their VLC (not LibVLC) instances.

Surely, people aren't routinely typing their VLM commands with keyboard and netcat.
