[vlc-devel] [PATCH 3/4] core: vout: pass an input_thread_t to vout_GetDevice()

I doubt that the Android VLC app uses an option that's not in any release yet, and if it does, then that's a pretty irresponsible job from whoever dropped a not even beta VLC version on the general public.

And your patch set does not do what you say. It's trying and failing to second-guess the module loader.
