Providing DirectComposition support means that there are zero incentives for 
any developper to fix the support for Win32 which was promised when merging the 
broken Qt patchset, and is now already one year overdue.

(Ditto Wayland patches versus no X11 fixes by the way.)

This is what happens when people merge broken code without ensuring that they 
have a solution for problems raised in review.
