I'm not familiar with SAP at all, but it seems to announce streams, not services, but I suppose we could announce that we have a SAP sender through the services advertisement API

Not sure stream outputs are a good candidate for this (but maybe I'm not thinking about the same thing) but things like MPD servers, Airplay renderers could be

Some VLC remotes are interested. We could send the HTTP API protocol version through TXT to help consumers to know what to expect from the service I suppose
