I don't think we should be applying large non-upstream patches in contribs, 
unless there is pretty damn strong reason to do so, like upstream is hostile 
or unresponsive. Otherwise nobody can ever update the package if they have any 
reason to do so.

And considering that this requires Windows and a device that's not even 
publicly available yet, I don't see that convincing reason.
