Yes, I agree. Maybe there was some misunderstanding stemming from what I
said; sorry, I should have been clearer about what I meant.

I meant that I hope we can take youtube-dl as is and work around these
issues by using it the right way in VLC. And that maybe we can have the
ytdl access matching by default on a safe set, but add another option to
the ytdl access for VLC users who really want it to try youtube-dl on
everything.

The way it breaks M3U is certainly an issue :/
