That sounds rather unreliable. Also it's not just about M3U or stuff for
which we have other specific modules. The update checker, the addons
finder for addons.videolan.org, or the adaptive demux, all create HTTP
streams, to download interesting files; and youtube-dl might decide it
wants to do something interesting with them, and breaks those features.

M3U is only one clear issue that I came across, that breaks now. But
there's no way to know what they might change and what might further
break with a future update of youtube-dl.
