[vlc-devel] [PATCH 0/19] re-resubmission of avx2 work

Having resubmitted the outstanding (unmerged) portion of the avx2 work
the other week, this now needed rebasing due
to f3e88606e11e2e5caabf8c5ac4edfe8289b62f17.

I've just done that, with only patches #3 and #17 needing trivial
revision.

I also though took the opportunity to make two other trivial
adjustments. I split some minor tweaks being done in #3 out to a
separate commit, and inserted a tiny commit simplifying
the startcode_FindAnnexB() function definition (no need for the non-
simd redefine) with a corresponding adjustment to the unit test,
allowing the unit test to now test each individual simd implementation.
These two commits comprise the new commits #3 and #4 in the set of now
19 total.

I don't know whether anyone yet had put any effort into review; I hope
this isn't disruptive.

I've force-pushed the update to the tree (
https://code.videolan.org/jnqnfe/vlc/-/tree/avx), and also attached an
updated zip copy. I'll also send inline previews of the patches as
replies to this in the hope that it should encourage/help review take
place. :)
