Dear VLC Development Team,

My name is Elohor Ehwarieme, and I am a long-time and frequent user of your
application. Over the years, I have enjoyed using VLC across multiple
devices — from laptops, televisions, and screen shares, to iPhones,
Androids, and even my very first phone, the Nokia Asha 200. I believe I
have been using VLC since then, and it has consistently remained my most
trusted and versatile media player.

I am writing to share an innovative idea that could take VLC to an entirely
new level through the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI). This
concept focuses on making VLC not just a media player, but a smart
multimedia system capable of analyzing, organizing, and enhancing content
intelligently.

Below is a summary of my proposed AI-powered features:

   1.

   Automatic Episode Organization:

The AI would analyze videos and detect their sequence order —
identifying which episode or clip comes next, even if the filenames are out
   of order or improperly labeled.
   2.

   AI-Generated Subtitles:

The AI could generate accurate subtitles directly from the video’s
audio, with processing speeds similar to how modern AI systems analyze text
   in real-time.
   3.

   Parental Safety and Content Monitoring:

Based on the registered user’s profile (e.g., a child’s account), the AI
could automatically detect explicit or age-inappropriate content, block
playback, and even send a notification or alert to a designated parent or
   guardian’s contact.
   4.

   Automatic Language Translation:

The AI could automatically change the audio or subtitle language of a
video according to the user’s preferences — creating a smoother and more
   inclusive viewing experience.
   5.

Smart Auto-Play and Content Rating Detection:

The AI could automatically play the next episode or related file without
manual input, much like Netflix, while also identifying the movie’s rating
(e.g., PG, 18+) and alerting users about violence, drug use, or explicit
   material.

By implementing these features, VLC would evolve into a pioneering,
intelligent media platform — one that offers organization, safety, and
accessibility beyond what is currently available in the market.

If VLC adopts or develops this idea, I kindly request that my contribution
be acknowledged, through formal credit, collaboration and compensation for
the conceptual design. I believe recognizing users’ ideas encourages
innovation and strengthens community trust.

However, should this idea be implemented without acknowledgment, I would
like to establish through this written correspondence that the concept
originated from me, Elohor Ehwarieme.

I would be happy to discuss this proposal further or provide additional
documentation if your team is interested. Thank you for taking the time to
read my message, and for continuously developing an application that has
truly stood the test of time.

Warm regards,

Elohor Ehwarieme
