As documented in #27227 youtube.lua still works fine to play YouTube
live streams, and I still use it for that. This removal is a loss of
useful functionality.

Is it possible to download a live stream with yt-dlp?... Sounds awkward.
Is it possible to play a YouTube live stream through VLC's yt-dlp
plugin, on platforms where it's available?
