Hi Folks,

I have compiled vlc (successfully, AFAIK) and I am now trying to
run it. I have a DVD in the drive, one which I believe to be
unscrambled. I do not have audio support at the moment. I started
vlc with:

# ./vlc --noaudio /mnt/dvd/video_ts/vts_01_0.vob

It then pops up with the window wherein it only says "waiting for
stream..." The log says:

---------- cut ----------
VideoLAN Client - version 0.1.99i Onatopp - (c)1996-2000 VideoLAN

Playlist initialized
Plugin bank initialized
Plugin 0: X Window System 0.1.99i [0x200]
Plugin 1: C YUV to RGB transformations 0.1.99i [0x100]
Plugin 2: OSS /dev/dsp 0.1.99i [0x0]
Plugin 3: Dummy 0.1.99i [0x1]
VLANs initialized
Video display initialized (720x576, 15/32 bpp)
Disabling screen saver

Playing file /mnt/dvd/video_ts/vts_01_0.vob
input: found a PTS, at last ...
Found MPEG video stream at 0xe0, allocating PID 0x20
Found MPEG private (DVD subtitle) stream at 0x20, allocating PID 0xa0
Input initialized
---------- cut ----------

I am using SuSE 7.0, XFree 4.0 (I believe) with currently 15 bpp
(same result for 24 bpp) and slow hardware (200 MHz Penntium, no MMX).
I know this is not enough for full sortware decoding, but I should
see something.

I guess I am just missing something obvious. Can anybody help, please?

Regards,

Gunther
