vlc: X11 problem with Solaris on Sparc

Hi,

Has anyone got vlc working with Sun's Soalris/sparc
platform?

I get the following error when running 'vlc':

% vlc

The full truss log file is attached as "truss.log1".

The version of vlc I'm testing is vlc-0.2.63 and I
am working on Solaris 7 with CDE on Ultra-sparc II.

any input would be highly appreciated.
