THANKS SAMUEL... IT WORKS.... I am going to download the server now and I hope the player can play files over a LAN. One more question....

I want to write my own video server program and send RTP packets to the vlc over a LAN.... How should I proceed?? Can I make some changes to the videolan server source code so that it can send files using RTP.... Is the vlc player ready to handle RTP packets...???
Thanks again...
