Description:
Trying to play a DVD causes the menu panel to crash, taking the 
player with it. While I am filling out this bug report, however,
the DVD continues to play. The player window responds to resize
events (IOW, I can set the player window to full screen or normal
size). The menu panel, however, is dead.

The DVDs in question could be played by the previous version of 
vlc (0.2.72).
