My posts appear up to six hours later, so maybe I had better update you all.

After a kernel upgrade and an nvidia driver upgrde. it's working great. I
have played many DVDs now, regios 1 and 3, and all OK. The ONLY one that
does NOT play at all well is "I Claudius", a set of five DVDs by the BBC
(20th Century Fox/NTSC). This plays with many halts and starts, and
eventually hangs completely.

To the Videolan team: congratulations on a job well done. OpenSource rocks,
and you guys prove it.
