I am trying to compile under os x too, and the new cvs does not give 
the previous errors, but gives me other ones... BTW are you compiling 
using make or gmake ? would like to be sure.

P.S. One Idea. Could everybody compiling on os x tell us on what 
system and if they succeeded in compiling ? this port wants to 
grow... :)
