I did that, but all I could find was --width & --height, which I already use:
./vlc --fullscreen --width=720 --height=576
I saw --display, but I could not find any documentation on what this does...
When I run vlc with the above arguments, it runs fine, but like I said, it does not change the display resolution, only the video size.
If I do a higher resolution, the display gets all jacked up.
