Greetings,

I just apt-get'ed and installed vlc. When I launch "vlc dev:/dev/scd1" I get the following output:

---------------

My DVD player is /dev/scd1 and I am running kernel 2.4test10. If I start vlc I get a window and it disappears. /dev/scd1 is set to rwxrwxrwx. I feel that I must mention that the drive is a Creative 12X DVD and that my kernel is built with SCSI Emulation. Any help would be appreciated.

Keith
