Fatal Failure in CSS

Greeting,

I recently installed vlc on my Debian (SID) system via apt-get.

After running vlc and choosing /dev/scd1 as my DVD player I get the following:

css error: CSS decryption is disabled in this module
dvd error: fatal failure in css

Any ideas?
