RedHat 7.1 and 0.2.80: does not work?

Hi!
I installed RedHat RPM vlc-0.2.80-1.i686 but I could not get any dvd
playback or sound. VLC just shows for a second a video controls and then
just stops. When I run
vlc --noaudio --vout=x11 dvd:/dev/cdroms/cdrom0 -vvvvvvv
it always prints after pressing the play button an output like:
