As an other user I am using KDE and a video card TNT2 with
drivers NVIDIA-1.0-1251.

If I configure vlc with "--enable-esd" I have messages :
"module: locking module 'esd'
 /dev/dsp: Device or resource busy"
but generally, at least the first time, vlc continue and the
video is correct but no sound.

If I kill the task using /dev/dsp (arts) or if I configure vlc
without "--enable-esd" I get a core dump before any image.

Any idea to solve this problem ?

Remark : I can play the same dvd with dxr2 (from Creative) and with
omi_gtk (from linuxvideo) without incident.
