No image

[Azrael Angel Of Death]

I use vlc on mandrake8 and get no video.
Here's the console message:

intf: interface initialised
vout error: didn't find a suitable Xvideo image input port
vout error: video initialisation failt, video is deactivated


Can anyone advise please?
