Yes, yuvmmx can't handle 8 bit color depth at the moment. Either you
switch to 16/24 bits, or you try : vlc --yuv yuv to use the standart yux
module instead of the mmx one.

Don't send any binary attachment to the mailing-list, it will be
stripped by listar. However we have a ftp incoming.
