Sound problems

Greetings.

    Im having some sound problems with running all DVD's.  Here is my hardware:

AMD Duron 650
Aureal Vortex 2
Voodoo3 3000
256 Megs Ram 
Mandrake Linux 7.2

The sound seems to be lagging behind the movie about a 1/2 second.  Im using the Esound plugin.  Ive tried the dep and alsa module but neither work.  The dep plug in skips around on the sound and you really cant hear and the alsa just doesnt work.  I have the video running in X11, also the only one that will work.  Here is what it gives me when playing the movie Hackers:

Sorry Its so long heh maybe I should shorten it up a bit heh.  Only thing I dont get is why is the decoder fifo full???  Why is it skipping pictures??  ....  It does this with all the DVD's I have (only 3) Matrix, Hackers, and Transformers heh.  Any ideas on how to fix this or is this just a bug that I cant do anything to fix??
