video quality problem

Hi. I have a big problem(?).

I have played dvd on 2 application programs. One is a POWERDVD and the other is a VideoLan Client on Windows 2000.
When there is big motion for example running man or moving hands quickly, display window shows strange lines and the diagonal lines like the border which appear between hand and window looks like not straight line but zigzag line. When playing dvd, please watch carefully or if you want to watch easily, pause the stream.
I have played videolan on both windows and linux. So I think that the problem may not be on video output plug-in but be on before the video output plug-in, because window videolan uses directx and linux videolan uses x11 and xvideo for video output plug-in.
Please watch carefully and please tell the cause of problem.
