[2nd try] DVD on Solaris Problem

Hello,

I recently compiled VideoLan for Solaris 2.8, and didn't have any issues
with the compile process.  But, when I try to play a DVD, I get the
following messages...

input error: can't create input thread (Error 0)

I do not have root access, so it has been compiled and installed into a
user directory.  Could this be the problem?

Let me know what other info would be helpful.
