slight zzz sound when playing dvd

Hi all, 

When playing a dvd, I have the above-mentioned zzzz sound in the
background whenever there is a sound.

However, when using other players like xine, the sound is totally
fine.

I'm using SB live and Athlon 1G, with 512 MB ram.

Any help?
