DVD minor problem

Ah. So it's not entirely impossible that this is really a 
Pioneer-specific problem (that maybe only shows in Linux). As far as I 
know Pioneer are also among the few drives that are immune to speed 
control via Linux software (like using "hdparm" with the "-E" switch).
